Concept: My assignment was to create a photo illustration for the banner image of a breaking news story about the assassination of Japan's former prime minister.

Work: This illustration was created for Radio Free Asia in Washington, D.C. 

Inspiration: I searched around on Behance and Pinterest for other obituary photo illustrations and loved the ones with the person in black and white over top a colored background. In this photo, Shinzo is standing in front of Japan's flag, symbolizing his service to his country.

Challenges: The turn around for this one was quick because he was assassinated in the middle of the night (EST), so I had little time to play around with my concept.
